After the design process is complete, we will need to discuss the kitchen remodeling process. Some people have their own contractor, others will need those services.
Contractors for Kitchen Remodeling
If you have your own contractor, we will want to schedule a meeting with them. This gives all of us a chance to meet and discuss the project, and for me to answer any questions the contractor may have. He will be provided with a full set of plans at installation, along with a packet of installer notes that pertain to the details of the project. My contact information will be provided so the communication process will be an easy one. I will still be visible during the project. I have a vested interest in making sure you are completely happy with your new kitchen.
If you need a contractor, I have relationships with some of the finest finish carpenters in the St. Louis area. We will meet back at your home at a time convenient for you, allowing the contractor to see the existing space and compare it to the proposed plans. This gives you a chance to ask any questions you may have for him, and gives him a chance to look at the project from the installer’s perspective. Should he need electricians, plumbers, flooring people, etc., he will have them there to look at their perspective part of the project.
As soon as the estimates are completed, we will all meet one more time to go over the budget position. I will present a materials break down, the contractor will present the estimate for the labor portion of the project. Once you decide to go ahead with the project, a deposit will be accepted, the custom cabinets and materials ordered, and a date will be agreed upon to start your kitchen remodeling project.
